July 23, 2010 - Thank you to the members of the Riverbend Rotary Club for collecting and donating 20 new or gently used pcs. of luggage to the Bags Not Rags organization on Friday, July 23rd. The Bags not Rags non-profit organization collects gently used luggage type items to provide to social services in the state of Louisiana to prevent foster children from transporting their belongings in plastic bags.
 May 25, 2010 - We would like to welcome our newest member to the River Bend Rotary Club. They were inducted on Mary 25, 2010.
 March 13, 2010 - Past District Governor Bruce Willson presenting our President Paula Powell and International Committee Chairman Kristen Gary their certificates after graduating from the Rotary Leadership Institute.
 March 3, 2010- River Bend Rotary President Paula Powell presenting a check for $6000 to Tom Agee, accepting on behalf of Larry Agee of Shelter Box (www.shelterboxusa.org). The funds were raised within one week, from donations from members of the club and from family and friends.
November 17 , 2009 - River Bend Rotary held there annual awards banquet honoring local law enforcement officer and firefighters with the River Bend Rotary Service Above Self Award. The recipients are State Trooper Adam Holifield - Louisiana State Troop G, Sergeant Donna Jackson - Caddo Parish Deputy, Sergeant Brian Monette - Shreveport Police Department, and Assistant Chief Robert N. Robinson - Shreveport Fire Department. The speaker was Bonnie Dubin.
 August 10th, 2009 - River Bend Rotary member Darin Hines is presenting a check for $100 Kid Med at the David Raines Community Health Center.
 June 18th, 2009 - President Bill Geaslin, along with other Riverbend Rotary members, presenting a check for $1500 to Shreveport Police Chief Henry Whitehorn. The funds donated were raised during our 2009 River Bend Rotary Fishing Tounament

 May 12, 2009 - President Bill Geaslin presenting a check for $650 to Wayne Gates. The monies donated will go towards sponsoring two teenagers, so that they may attend the upcoming RYLA camp.
